About the Artist

I am Crowtaur and I am a self-taught digital artist who's been working hard to make art into my living. Ive always been inspired by comic books and manga, especially of anthropomorphic animals and I wanted to find a way to contribute my ideas to the artistic community. I became interested in the Tarot after reading Alejandro Jodorowsky's ideas and how its themes are often woven into his writing.I started reading the Tarot to myself and friends and I found out that its a great exercise in visual story telling that can give guidance or even have a therapeutic effect. Most of all it is a helpful tool for having to figure out difficult questions of every day life or when having to make a choice that doesn't seem so clear at first. So the act of reading the Tarot becomes an act of self-inquiry.My wish is that by designing my own Tarot in this collaborative fashion, I am able to create a mélange of many different ideas and experiences, wishes and hopes from many people. My hope is that this Tarot will be able to ditch the many occult and outdated themes from its predecessors and becomes something unique and more personal and be something that brings a bit of joy to my contributors and anyone reading it.
